The theme of hunting continues to get new forms in works of Savostin and Sasonov. Knife "Wolf's fang" is notable for its elegant design and splendid work on details.
Blade is made of mosaic damascus with character pattern. On abutment near guard there is a gold seal with author's stamp. Backpiece of handle is decorated with floral ornament with loop made in form of petal for leather strap. In the butt there is a locket with three wolfs howling on the moon on it. Lower bush of handle is decorated with realistic relief. There is a she-wolf defending her children from lynx. Decorative leather strap with wolf's flang is fastened to backpiece.
Orifice of sheaths is leather and it hides the handle on two thirds. On other side there is a fastener for belt and silver round monogram. In the middle of sheaths there is a figure of falcon. Under it there is a locket with wolf. the tip of sheaths is crowned with grining head of grey predator.
Laconic wood handle has spiral twisted grooves. In intervals between them there are inlaid double twisted silver spreads. The knife is supplies with movable leather strap for fastener it to belt.
"Wolf's fang" is not only highly artistic work, but also it is save, made with all canons of arms production, cutting knife. In the proper care it will be in use for a long time.
