Anciently Cossack and his weapon were inseparable from each other. Weapon, in particular a knife, is a culture assosiated with history.
That is why authors' attutude to the knife is special. In the knife there is love to Cossack land. to the knife as man's inseparable companion and to materials which found finished appearance of art knife due to talent, mastery and perseverance.
The knife was made on high art and technical level. Fitting of details, quality of treatment of metal surface and wood make a conspicuous figure and plastic and stylish decisions make the knife as an example of decorative-applied art.
The handle is wooden with silver hub which adjoin the blade. On silver surface with russian florish ornament there is an inscription "Will and belief" written with the Church Slavonic language. On the backpiece there is a screw-ring with plait leather cord reminding a whip.
There is an interesting construction of the upper part of sheaths. On the front side wood borders with handle's hub. Other side of sheaths is longer and gets 2/3 of handle's length in sheaths. To this longer part of wooden handle leather lap is sewed which fixed the knife in sheaths. On the front side between leather and wood there is empty space where you can see an inscription on the handle's hub.
Front side of sheaths is decorated with silver lap and an image of cavalry Cossack. The relief is made realistiс and convincing with using of the medallic plastic. Cavalry figure, details of the military suit, equipment and texture are carefully specified.
Noble color of grey patina shades the metal showing the surface relief.
